Mother's Day

Still getting caught up here...

I had a really nice Mother's Day.

Ethan was so excited to give me my gift early that morning. C was nice and let me pick something out from her store. I got Willow Tree Mother & Son, a mother candle with phrase, and a heart shaped wreath of purple dried flowers. Ethan even made me some things at preschool! I little dish with a rose he made with his hand print and some coupons. I need to take pics of it all. I loved the card that was things about his mommy, too cute.

I just wanted to go out for breakfast at Golden Corral. I so love a breakfast buffet! We did that last year with T's parents, so we invited them again. We met them there at 9:30, which meant we had to miss our church service. There was a long line at that time, too.

I brought C's gift from us and she had another one for me! I made both of our moms custom kleenex boxes with pics of their grandkids on them. Such a neat idea and easy to use website where you can pick the colors, add text or clipart with the photo. They were the world's most expensive boxes of kleenex, though!

T actually had planned for us to go to The Painted Penguin at the mall after breakfast. He had mentioned it a couple of weeks ago when we were checking it out. I truly had forgot about it. E picked out a little bulldog to paint, I chose a cupcake, and T painted an E for Ethan's room. It was a fun outing. We got to pick out 6 paint colors, i got to pick 8! T and I were being such perfectionists with our painting. We kept getting annoyed with E when he would move around and bump the table! Well, we were sitting in a picnic style table, so any move would jar us.

Then we got our pieces glittered and shiny...which took about 15 min so we walked around the mall and ended up in the arcade area...

They had this neat Deal or No Deal game, E loved it and he won like120 tickets with it!

He did awesome at this egg drop game and won the bonus which was 171 tickets! He got to pick out so many little trinkets there. We were there for around 45 min and it was alot of fun for all of us! I didn't realize it was so big back there, plus we were basically the only ones in there playing!

Then around 3pm we took my mom out for ice cream. I picked her up and we met my sister and her kids at Cold Stone Creamery. I had a mint with brownie, and E got chocolate with m&ms.

It was a really rainy day on Sunday.

This weekend I'd like to get some flowers. I'm going to try to pick up some gerber daisies on Friday from Lowes, like my mom just got. I'll probably swing by and get some geraniums from T&Js after getting E at my sister's tomorrow.
