Ethan got to take part in the big little league parade that kicks off the season. It goes around the square. The day before, he had said that he was excited about being in a parade and he can’t believe he is going to be on tv! We had to tell him that the little parade would not be televised. Funny that he thought all parades are on tv or something.
Ethan is on the Red Sox. #11 and too cute!
and Cousin Matt on White Sox, I love that his coach was pointed us out so he would look at us! We were really screaming his name and he almost walked past us without seeing us.
the parade ended at the fields for a quick ceremony and first pitch.
they said 700 boys had signed up to play!
we should have had a better plan for meeting Ethan after all of this. We almost couldn’t find him! It was CRAZY with people! He just went with the flow of a few kids and T found him by some trees, but still in the complex. I knew he had not passed by me, so he had to be closer to where T was.
Ethan had an allergic reaction above his upper lip on Friday night, the day before the parade. On Friday he had Sunny D with his dinner. I don’t think he had ever had it before. He said he really liked it and I noticed he drank the whole thing. It was one of those little bottles with a 1.5” diam bottle lip. Well, he had some reaction to it. I noticed he had something on his upper lip area when he had fallen asleep on the couch. I had to get T for his opinion. It was little dark red dots, but not swollen. It was exact area that the drink would have created a ‘juice mustache’ on his lip. I started googling reactions to Sunny D, but didn’t find anything really. He had the original orange version.
It had cleared up mostly by Sunday, and pretty much gone on Monday for school. So the kid cannot drink Sunny D! He even told me if he asks for it again in a grocery store, to not buy it for him! Even if he really wants it!
