Our county fair was last week. It is a 10 day fair, really 11 with preview Thursday night. We went 8 times, and loved it everytime. Yes, we had a pass to get in. Yes, we ate a bunch of fried fair food.
E’s first time playing this shooting game – we all liked the ‘shoot til you win’ He had to shoot the yellow ball but it had to have a smiley face on it. T asked the guy where area would it be in, but no help. I did see him sort of look at an area.
he picked this little guy on a skateboard
imprinting leather craft – in the AG bldg.
and Ethan WON right as I took the pic!!
Tally of Roller Bowler wins for the fair:
Ethan – 3 wins
Mommy – 2 wins (but I really didn’t play as much as them)
Daddy – 8 wins
Ethan owns 3 large animals and 2 small animals, 1 medium
loved these fun cut-outs! and I love how he put that polar bear we won in the extra hole
mouse game – didn’t win this year.
loved these Flurries ‘blizzard'
Ethan didn’t ‘win’ a fish, but this teenage couple did win and came up to us with their bag of fish. I thought it was 2 fish in the bag, but no it was 4!! They are all still alive, but one is missing an eye.
Ethan was cracking me up as he would change his pose as he went by me everytime! I had the camera triggered great to catch each one. These were taken when Trent was back at work so I was standing there laughing outloud alone!
new attraction at the fair – Water Globes. I couldn’t believe that Ethan wanted to try them out! We saw them at the Porter Co. Fair the week prior and hoped they would be at ours!
They were $7 for 3 minutes, Ethan used his own money to go in them, too! You had to be at least 5 yrs old and max of 160lbs.
Ethan loved them! It looked impossible to stand up in, though.
Click on the video below of him…
that guy must get a major workout each day pulling the kids out of the globes!
my new fav are the Fried Oreos! Yummers!!
We tried fried butter at Po. Cty Fair, just to try it. it was the fried dough with melted cinnamon-y butter inside. We won’t ever try it again. They had fried Pepsi, too. That was too weird to try.
AUGUST 9 trip to fair…
getting hooked up to to the bouncy bungee thingie – he was a dare devil this year!
more video of him
motorcycles are still fun. The height max is 54” for the motorcycles. E is at 51” now, I think I might cry if he is too tall for them next year.
Sat. August 14 – we met up with Zubie! Her bros were playing in the cornhole tourney so we watched that some, too.
This was a new ride for Ethan this year. We sort of talked him into trying it. It looks fun and I knew he could handle it. This was his 2nd time on it. The first time he was standing in line next to a little girl and her mom, so he rode with them, that mom was so nice and made sure he was in the middle seat.
and then Zubie won at the mouse game! she let E pick something out – he got this soccer bear
Sunday, AUGUST 15 – last day of fair
up on the ferris wheel with Ethan. I bought tickets to ride on 2 rides with E.
pics from up in the ferris wheel – love all the pics of my fair!
Daddy waiting for us – can you spot him?
looking for our house..too many trees
playing roller bowler one last time…
until next year!
