So now that E’s in 3rd grade, he has to do a science project. It had to be a question that you had to prove with some sort of answer. I basically googled ‘3rd grade science fair project’ and this was one of the first ones. It didn’t look too complicated, but it did end up costing more than we expected.
It was to prove if flowers drank cold water or warm water faster. We used red food coloring for the warm water – sitting on a candle warmer, and blue food coloring in the cold water vase.
Ethan writing out one of the parts for the project board.
it was quite a test for me to not get so involved in how neat it would look, but I was the one that layed it all out.
We bought the board thru his school, he chose yellow, of course.
Ethan is so by the rules and didn’t think he was allowed to type up anything and print up. Well, we know now for next year that is preferred. At the science fair most of them were printed up. The stick on letters, we ran out of some big letters, can you tell?
He had to present and explain it to his class, I think just a quick 2-3 minute presentation. Then answered 2 questions from his teacher and 1 from a classmate. He said it wasn’t a big deal and volunteered to go up to get it done. I think I stressed about it more than I needed to.
Answer : cold water drinks it faster
Now what will he do next year??
