Passed the timed test!

Ethan has been taking timed tests in class. He has passed the addition and subtraction. It is 100 problems in 4 minutes.

He has been on the multiplication for about 3 weeks now. I pulled out his flash cards and we have been working on the x8 x9 ones that he keeps missing. He getting through them in the time, but getting 4-5 wrong.

One day at Jewel/Osco he saw a little wolf animal he just HAD to have. I said, that could be a prize for when you pass the mult. test. He rolled his eyes and said “forget it, I’ll never pass it” I really had to talk to him about not giving up on it. I just knew he could do it. No in his class had passed it yet, so for some reason he thought it was impossible. I knew he could complete it, he did it last year in 2nd grade, but it was different and not 100 problems.

Right after he went back to school after being home sick with strep, he passed it on Feb. 1. 

So proud of him – I hope he is proud of himself. 

Now on to division…wonder how long that will take?
