Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve we went to Trent’s parents house around 3pm. We had our appetizer meal. I brought potato skins, taco dip & chips, bacon wrapped crackers-that didn’t turn out right. I, also, brought Christmas cookies.

We brought over our Wii system, so then Ethan could play his new Skylanders game. He brought Just Dance 2 to entertain us, too. His grandparents had never seen that game, I knew it would make them laugh to see him dance along.

Merry Christmas!

Baking tons of cookies

I finally got done making all the cookies for my Christmas gifts. I got these cute boxes at Old Time Pottery – next year need to get more.

I found a C ornament for my co-worker’s box – cute on the top of it, right? I made gingerbread men cookies for the first time this year. Well, they were premade dough but I rolled them and cut and decorated them. I wish I had different icing other than out of the can which is hard to control.

Ethan saw me making them and wanted to help. He made a pan of them and decorated them to his liking.

Christmas Tour of decor

We bought a brand new tree this year and it fits much nicer in the spot. It is a slim tree, but not super slim it is 47” wide.

I made a new topper this year and added 3 types of sparkly sprigs in there of gold and silver 

Every year when I am decorating my tree I tell myself I have way too many ornaments. I think I still bought 3 new ones this year.

my mom made these angel ornaments years ago – I remember she made a ton of them Aunt Dorothy made this bear and it was on our tree growing up

Ethan made me 2 ornaments this year – this wreath out of green puzzle pieces is clever.

 I think I got this 2 years ago at an after Christmas sale – had to have it because it lists Ethan’s name first!
