We had a nice gathering of family this year for 4th of July. I love hosting a party on 4th of July. We had my parents, T’s parents, and my sister’s family over.
we sat with my coworker, Kim’s family. Her mother and my mother both taught together. The yard we sat in was new to us this year, but we sort of knew them.
Kim’s parents sat in front of me. Her son was out front with the row of other kids to get all the goodies tossed out.

Cousins were really excited to go swimming. T has really been working to get the pool water back to normal. It is super cloudy and looks like pond water green here. 
I had a separate dessert table this year

Trent made cole slaw from scratch and he was so proud of it.

and new for this year – colored smoke! E picked the colors-yellow & blue 
our neighbors lit up these hot air balloons that were fun to watch go way up in the air and then disappear

then we walk down to end of our street to watch the big fireworks at the fairgrounds
