This year’s little league went by fast. The first 4 games in May were really cold, then we had maybe 4 comfortable games, then a couple with rain, then the remaining ones were hot and sunny.
But he only had 1 game that was cancelled….when that wind storm happened, and it was to be against cousin Matt’s team. They decided not to make it up, too. What a disappointment.
So I saw the boys on their last game of the season and made then pose for a pic for me.
And flashback to May 21 game on the t-ball field…
love I got this pic of E in the air all excited over his teammate’s hit!
Another cold game – MAY 27
JUNE 3 GAME…
great 1st base coach this game…and he gets a 2nd hit
I can’t believe there is a helmet that is too big for his head! he only wore this one once, he usually wore the coach provided one
then playing 3rd base
JUNE 18 game…not his best game, didn’t get a hit, but he gets the game ball!
with both of his grandpas on Father’s Day weekend!
then Trent left for convention that night…his next game was Tuesday JUNE 21 and he was catcher
and Ethan catching in his unique style…other kids don’t squat down, but most do try to catch the ball.
It just makes me giggle! He can’t be bothered with it and heaven forbid he gets hit with the ball!
After this game T was home again and worked with him so he could get a hit and end the season on a high note. His last game was SAT JUNE 25 and it was at 9am-yuck
much improved stance and he swings and gets a hit!!
love the Court House in the background
then Ethan gets his best hit EVER! Wish I would have followed the ball as I videoed it, it went to the outfield!
then they all get trophies!
They don’t really keep score at the games, but the coaches keep track. His team probably won 4-5 games out of the 13 they played.
I kept track of his hits at each game.
I noticed that he started really good, getting hits at the first part of the season when it was really cold. I heard him telling someone, “yeah I did great when it was cold out but then couldn’t hit when it was hot out.” funny
