1st Grade Christmas Program

So Ethan had his first music program at school on Thursday. It was just for all of first grade, 4 classes. I was worried about parking and finding a seat and then saving like 8 spots for my sister’s fam and all the grandparents.

I had to bring in his decorated box of the Polar Express day , which will be on Monday.

When he got into his classroom he put on his soldier costume. All the kids had the same outfit to wear at the beginning. They were told to wear jeans and a short sleeved white t-shirt. Then they all had rosy cheeks, thanks to little red stickers.

He would go over to the side for the costume change…which he informed us was to the song Carol of the Bells. So funny that he would recognize that song during commercials and make note of it everytime. He even would practice the soldier walk.

One thing I noticed was he would calmly walk to his spot to change the costume. Both times he was the last one to his spot. Without a doubt, I know he was told to walk and not run to the changing spot. My kid, such a rule follower, makes me happy.

Ethan was excited about his speaking part. He did it perfectly-Slowly, loudly. I was so nervous for him.

Oh, the night before when I was putting him to bed he said, “I have a big day tomorrow.” Love it.

T had games he couldn’t miss out on, so couldn’t attend. It was nice that it was only 30 min long.

I took video of parts of each song, but we were told not to put it online.
