Our dentist suggested that Ethan go to the orthodontist for a consultation. He is concerned about a lower tooth that is loose and it shouldn’t come out until he is 9 or 10! Plus, he freaked me out wondering if he was missing his top 2 teeth!
E is already way ahead of the normal with the losing of teeth. He has lost 8 baby teeth, and 6 perm teeth have come in. There is major spacing occurring with his top middle 2 teeth. The other top 2 are not ready to come in yet.
We went to a really nice ortho office and had the whole tour and they were very informative. Ethan was most excited about the computer sign-in at the front desk, oh and maybe the playstation in the waiting room.
I’m pleased that the dr said we should wait it out and see how the 2 top teeth come in. I am praying that they come in straight and don’t crowd the area and push the middle 2 together. They took pictures and xrays of his teeth and they were set up on a pc monitor for us to view. The dr showed us the typical progression of a child’s teeth. Our kid is already at the 8yr mouth.
Just a learning process for us. T and I didn’t not need braces, so I guess I was naive to think that E wouldn’t need them either.
He is going back in June and we’ll see what they say.
We went to church on Sunday and my side of fam went out to breakfast. E kept himself entertained.
