Party weekend

Ethan has been looking forward to this weekend. He had 2 birthday parties, one on Sat night at a mini-golf place and one on Sunday at JumpZone. Sat night was a girl in his class and you had to wear your halloween costume. He loved that! It was kind of cold out, low 50s when they were golfing outside in the cool halloween themed course. He said they had light up balls!

The one this afternoon was at our local inflatable jumping place. The little girl was also turning 7. She doesn’t even go to his school, she knows him from aftercare! How sweet of her to invite him. She invited 2 other girls that E knew from aftercare, too. I was worried that he would feel lost not knowing anyone besides the birthday girl, so luckily another girl in his class was there, also from aftercare. I think there was around 35 little kids there. yikes! It was crazy crowded in the party room, plus with some of the parents in there.

T and I loved it that we could go out to eat during the parties! That was so awesome!

We went to Northwoods today for the awesome breakfast buffet and invited T’s parents. We haven’t seen them in awhile and Sunday is really the only day to get together with them.

E has a cold and has been coughing some this past week. Now he has runny nose and sniffles. Last night as I was going up to bed I noticed his cheeks looked rosy, so knowing my kid felt his head and it was pretty hot. I took his temp and it was 102.9! So scary and at 1:50am! He was resting so comfortably I didn’t want to wake him up to have him take medicine, but I totally did. I think he woke up a little from the thermometer going in his ear. He opened his eyes after I said his name twice. Usually he is super hard to wake up. I got him to take some tylenol and checked him again in an hour and it was at 99. He was totally normal this morning and all day.

And today we got rid of our futon! Sally bought it from us for her daughter. It just worked out great all around. It has been sitting up in our spare bedroom not being used since we got my parents sectional for our downstairs family room. Now I’m hoping to move the treadmill in there, the room is not that big but I think it would work better in there. I just need a tv in front of me!
